Tom and Charlie set up in partnership as Guy Piper Architects in 2015.  We are a young and enthusiastic practice specialising in Residential, Hospitality and small-scale commercial architecture and interiors but also have a wide range of experience in Education. We work from concept to completion guiding the client through the design process to come up with a bespoke scheme designed around the client’s requirements.

All of our projects are modelled in Revit which is BIM software and 3D. This software enables us to produce photo realistic visuals, walkthrough videos and Virtual Reality to help clients visualise schemes early on. Examples of flythrough videos are shown in our Chelsea Townhouse, Brixton flat extension and Ilford new build house.

We can recommend other consultants that we work with regularly enabling us to bring a full team including Structural Engineers, Party Wall surveyors and Planning and Heritage Consultants.

We can carry our full architectural surveys of existing buildings with our high tech laser scanner that uses a 360° laser distance meter and high definition panoramic imaging to create a 3D point clouds.

Whilst we work from our studio in Islington we work across all London boroughs, currently with a significant amount of work in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea. A significant amount of our work is in Oxfordshire and Brighton where we are based for a day a week.

As a chartered Architect Tom oversees every project.

"We couldn't have been more satisfied with Tom and Charlie. They were full of their own brilliant ideas and suggestions, but they always listened carefully to what we wanted, and they would then design to fit our requirements. It was a pleasure to work with them, and I have no hesitation in recommending them." Evan Davis, BBC Broadcaster. House completed 2017.
